Uses of Robaxin

Robaxin is often used in conjunction with rest, physical therapy, and other treatments.

Precautions and Warnings

Before taking Robaxin, it is important to inform your healthcare provider if you have any medical conditions such as myasthenia gravis, kidney disease, liver disease, or if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Robaxin can cause dizziness or drowsiness, so avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how it affects you. Alcohol can enhance these side effects and should be avoided. Additionally, inform your doctor about all medications and supplements you are currently taking to avoid potential interactions.

Dosage

The typical dosage of Robaxin varies based on the condition being treated and the patient’s response. Initially, the dose may be higher to control acute symptoms, typically 1500 mg four times a day, and then it may be reduced to 1000 mg three times a day. Always follow your healthcare provider’s instructions and do not exceed the recommended dose. If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember, but skip it if it’s almost time for your next scheduled dose.
