Use of Alphagan Ophthalmic Solution 0.2%

This medication contains Brimonidine, an active ingredient that activates alpha receptors in the eye’s blood vessels. Alphagan effectively decreases the production of aqueous humor while promoting its drainage from the eyes.

Precautions and Warnings

Individuals with a known allergy to Alphagan Ophthalmic Solution 0.2% should avoid using this medication. It is also not suitable for children under the age of two. Users may experience temporary blurry vision or drowsiness post-application. In such cases, it is advisable not to drive or operate heavy machinery. Contact lens wearers should remove their lenses before using the drops and wait for at least 15 minutes before reinserting them.

Dosage

Alphagan Ophthalmic Solution 0.2% is administered by placing drops into the eye. To apply, wash hands thoroughly, tilt the head back, and pull down the lower eyelid to form a small pocket. Place at least one drop into the pocket. This process should be repeated twice daily, 12 hours apart.
