Uses of Biktarvy
Biktarvy is a medication used to treat HIV infection. It combines bictegravir, emtricitabine, and tenofovir alafenamide. The drug works by inhibiting the replication of HIV in the body, thereby reducing the progression towards AIDS (acquired immunodeficiency syndrome).
Bictegravir is an integrase strand transfer inhibitor (INSTI), while emtricitabine and tenofovir alafenamide are classified as nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitors (NRTIs).

Adult dosage:

- The dosage for children is determined based on their body weight.
